Authorisation Examination for the Application of Authorisation of a Service Provider for Electrical Installations as per Electrical Installations Regulations (S.L.545.24) – January 2025

The Department of Examinations and the Board of Local Public Examinations notify that the examinations for Authorisation A and B – January 2025 session will be held between:

Monday 27th January 2025 and Thursday 30th January 2025.

The Practical and Interview Test will be held between Saturday 22nd March 2025 and Tuesday 15th April 2025.

Applications for June 2025 session will be accepted online from Monday 6th January  to Monday 13th January 2025.

Requests for any additional/cancellations/amendments will be accepted by email on raiza.mizzi@gov.mt between the 16th & 17th January 2025

Late Registrations will be accepted ONLINE between the 3rd and 4th March 2025. Late fees will apply.

Access Arrangements will be accepted from Monday 6th January to Friday 17th January 2025.

Expression of Interest for Invigilators

The Department of Examinations within the Ministry for Education Sport, Youth, Research and Innovation accepts applications from interested applicants to perform the role of Invigilators during MATSEC and/or other local/public and/or foreign examinations.

Prospective applicants need to be computer literate. Applicants are kindly requested to provide a police conduct certificate issued not earlier than 3 months prior to application. Retired educators, school administrators and tertiary level students are encouraged to apply. Invigilation sessions will be held either during the morning or/and afternoon and applicants can work in a flexible manner according to their time and availability. Applicants with educator’s experience such as teachers, LSEs, KGEs etc, may be assigned reader, prompter or scribe duties according to the exigencies of the Department.

Necessary training will be provided to the selected applicants.

Interested applicants are kindly requested to submit online application attaching a CV & Police conduct.

The deadline for the applications is Tuesday 31st December 2024. Late applications received after this date will be considered however, first preference is given to the applications received by set deadline.

Expression of Interest for Art Models

The Department of Examinations within the Ministry for Education, Sport, Youth, Research and Innovation accepts applications from interested applicants to perform the role of Art Models during MATSEC Art examinations. Interested applicants are kindly requested to read the specifications related to the role.

Their duties and responsibilities

An Art Model presents themselves to candidates so that they can draw or produce a painting based on them. They must pose for art students during a three-hour examination. Their typical duties and responsibilities include:

  • Posing for art examination candidates in a classroom,
  • Holding poses or facial expressions for extended periods of time,
  • Having previous modelling experience.

Skills and relevant work experience

Art models will need skills and talents such as:

  • Patience, as art models will need to hold certain poses for up to 30 minutes at a time,
  • Listening skills, as art models must listen carefully to instructions and directions,
  • Physical stamina, as a models need to be fit enough to sit, stand, or lay down in various positions,
  • Confidence, as art models needs to be able to pose in front of different candidates.
