Whenever a certificate is lost, an individual who has sat for an examination in Malta or Gozo can fill in the form to apply for a Provisional Certificate. The service applies for these examination boards:

Following the implementation of revised procedures and enhanced security protocols, the Department of Examinations would like to inform all prospective candidates that, as of January 2026, it will not accommodate any clashes between Edexcel/Foreign examinations and MATSEC examinations.
Prospective candidates are kindly advised to carefully refer to the relevant official timetables on https://myexams.gov.mt/timetables/ prior to registration.
An Edexcel examinations session with a limited range of subjects will be held during the months of October/November 2026. Applications for this session will be open during the fourth week of July 2026. More details and information will be uploaded closer to date.
The Expression of Interest to provide Invigilation Services at Examination Centres in Malta and/or Gozo is currently closed and will reopen on 1st October 2026.
