Outstanding Pearson Learner Awards

Three exceptional students have earned national recognition for their outstanding academic achievements in the prestigious Edexcel International GCSE examination session held in Summer 2025. Liam Ellul Hawes achieved the Highest Mark in Malta in English, Ilenia Vella earned the Highest Mark in Malta in Chemistry, and Jeanine Marie Gatt was awarded the Highest Mark in Malta in Biology.

These awards reflect not only the students’ remarkable dedication and hard work but also the invaluable support provided by their schools and families throughout their academic journey.

The Pearson Awards and Certificates were officially presented by Ms Desiree Scicluna Bugeja, Director of the Examinations Department, Mr Michael Deguara, Assistant Director of the Examinations Department and by Ms Raiza Pisani, Edexcel Officer.
