
Following completion of the Holistic Programme for Immigrants’ Integration, comprising 40 hours, candidates sitting for this exam will undergo an assessment to evaluate their understanding of the key modules covered during the course. The assessment will measure knowledge of Maltese culture and traditions, civic responsibilities, legal and safety awareness, and basic language competence in English and Maltese. This assessment ensures that participants have acquired the essential knowledge necessary to support their integration into Maltese society.

The Matriculation and Secondary Education Certificate (MATSEC) Examinations Board was established in 1991 by the Senate and the Council of the University of Malta. The Board was entrusted with the development of an examination system to replace the GCE Ordinary and Advanced level examinations set by UK examination boards.
